If you compare to Warriors of Chaos for example the unit roster is far weaker for Norsca. Originally posted by Stix_09:Factions are def not balanced, ![]() And obviously you should rarely ally norscan factions, they're easy targets. Way faster to confederate them than to take their settlements only to have to turn back for their army anyways. Because norsca gets a lot of post battle loot, your upkeep is lowered for marauder units especially in the raiding stances, and marauder berserkers in particular are quite cost effective, I could almost afford to recruit an army for every faction I was at war with.Īlso this is probably obvious, but declare war on norscan factions when you're next to their faction leader. Then if anyone declares war, you should have a fair bit of money cause norscan buildings are cheap, and you just reactively recruit an army to defend, then go kill your attacker. In my experience, you can hunt down minor norscan factions pretty easily at the start, throgg can be a bit more difficult so you might want to wait for some marauder berserkers, and then you can take the rest of norsca with 2 stacks (confederated throgg and wulfrik). Turn 60-70 or so, I had 60k+ income, norsca naturally gets a fair number of upkeep reductions, and my marauder berserkers had like 90 weapon strength. Once I had norsca under control and parts of the chaos wastes in the north, I started razing settlements then occupying afterwards to get the god bonuses, and I took altdorf for the weapon strength buff. Then I just had insane economy, and insane replenishment cause of how their encamp raiding stance works. Sigvald declared war so I recruited a second stack to go up there, and then confederated aghol or whatever on the way. ![]() Hunted down faction leaders of norscan factions early and confederated most of norsca that way. ![]() I had the exact opposite experience with norsca.
