![]() I will be buying more of these 17-rd magazines, as I am VERY impressed with them, and I’d recommend them over the 15’s any day. Like my two 15-rd mags, it’s made by Mec-Gar, which is a name I, like many others out there, have come to trust. It’s lightweight, but made of very sturdy material. Fully loaded, it doesn’t give the gun any unneeded restrictions or weight/balance issues. I makes the hand grip look a bit elongated, which, actually is pretty cool. This 17-rd mag is my “go-to” magazine when I go to the range. So, I bought another, and will buy more in the future. I used various 9mm rounds from various makers, at various loads, just to see if I’d be buying another. It’s a sturdy magazine that handled any 9mm round I threw its way. I spent two hours putting rounds in this mag and popping them off. I bought the first one from DK Firearms at a very reasonable price. Needing extra mags, I broke down and began searching for the 17-rd mags. I had seen many of the 17-rd mags, but really didn’t want one. At first, I was shopping around for the 15-rd for my Taurus G3, but on the web, they were mostly sold out. It’s so nice to have guidance ready when you need it. They are a great group of people who will baby-step you through your purchase, and who will stand by you until the end. I would recommend DK Firearms to ANYONE interested in purchasing a firearm or accessories. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and ready to address any concerns I may have about firearms, not just about purchases. They have everything I need for my gun at a price this granny can afford. I’m also making DK Firearms my go-to shop for ALL my gun needs. In fact, I love this mag so much, I bought another. I saw DK Firearms had the 17-round and the sleeve. I wanted the 15-round mag that came standard with my Taurus G3, but they’re hard to find. The magazine is well made, sturdy, and pushes out the rounds without a hiccup–not once have I had any issues. I’ve looked over the web to find one of these, and DID find several, but at higher prices. This item qualifies for FREE SHIPPING on orders of 90. LIST OF STATES WITH MAGAZINE RESTRICTIONS. The trigger could still use some further tweaking, particularly concerning its long take-up, but this is a minor shortcoming in the overall context of how smoothly and reliably the G3 performs for a $350 striker fired handgun.Great product at a price that can’t be beat. CALIBER: 9mm MAGAZINE CAPACITY: 32 rounds OF MAGS: One FITS: Taurus PT111, PT111 G2, G2c, G3C, or G3 9mm pistols. The G3’s 6-pound trigger is a thorough improvement over its predecessor, with a crisper break and smoother take-up. The G2c’s most serious and widely recognized performance drawback was the stark “ catch” when pulling the trigger, caused by the way that the trigger blade safety is designed. Capacity is the only customizable feature, with the G3 being offered in 10, 15, and 17-round variants.īut what about performance? Is the G3 really, in quoting Taurus’ promotional video, “as easy on the draw as it is on the wallet?” In spite of its budget pricing, the G3 offers double strike capability-the G3 can simply restrike the primer with another pull of the trigger if the primer fails to ignite, which saves time over “ tapping” the magazine and cycling a fresh round into the chamber. Unlike some other handguns in Taurus’ catalog, the pistol offers little by way of model variety at the time of writing, every G3 is chambered in 9mm Luger, boasts a 4-inch barrel, and comes in polymer matte black. Other features include low profile drift-adjustable rear sights, picatinny rail, and a striker block to prevent the gun from accidentally discharging if dropped. In another nod to its concealed carry roots, the G3 comes with uniform beveling along the front and back of the slide. The polymer construction not only drives down costs, but makes the gun sufficiently light for prolonged concealed carry outings at a respectable 25 ounces, comparable to the prolific Glock 19. The G3 comes in the same unassuming full-polymer profile of the G2c, which is also typical to most handguns in the budget 9mm EDC class.
